At about 11:30 PM on Sunday, August 13, 2017, officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a call for shots fired in the area of 39 Mt. Pleasant Avenue in Roxbury. On arrival, officers located two male victims suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. One male victim believed to be in his early 40's, was treated at an area hospital for a non-life threatening injury to his lower leg. The second victim, a male believed to be in his late 30's was taken from the scene to an area hospital and was later pronounced deceased. At this time no arrests are reported and the investigation is active and ongoing.
