Earlier today, on Wednesday, July 5, 2017, members of the BPD Fugitive Unit, US Marshals and the Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team arrested three suspects wanted in relation to three separate Boston homicides.
Boston - At about 1:45 PM, members of the BPD Fugitive Unit located Kenneth Ford, 43, of Boston, in the area of 760 Albany Street and arrested him without incident on an outstanding Suffolk Superior Court warrant for Arson and Murder. The warrant stemmed from a fire that occurred on November 5, 2016, at 94 George Street in Roxbury, where a female victim, Michelle Trentor, was later found deceased. Ford is the second suspect to be arrested in connection to this incident.
Ohio - After a lengthy investigation conducted by the BPD Fugitive Unit and the US Marshals, Greg Wright, 21, of Boston and Danilo Depina, 31, of Boston, were located and arrested today by the Southern Ohio Fugitive Strike Force in Columbus Ohio. The two suspects were found together at the time of their arrests and were wanted in connection to two separate homicides. Greg Wright was wanted on an active Suffolk Superior Court warrant for Murder and had been on the run since the May 27, 2017, homicide of Kevin Reyes in the area of 66 Hudson Street in Chinatown. Danilo Depina had an active Suffolk Superior Court warrant for Murder in connection to the August 20, 2016, homicide of Ailton Goncalves in the area of 6 Dudley Terrace in Roxbury.
Both Depina and Wright are currently in custody in Ohio awaiting extradition back to Massachusetts.
Said Commissioner Evans, "I cannot express how grateful I am to my officers and to all our law enforcement partners who made these arrests possible. Because of their efforts, three suspects are now in custody in connection to three separate homicides that affected so many. We never forget that for every homicide victim, there are countless family members, friends and loved ones left behind looking for answers and closure. We work hard everyday to make sure we find some sort of peace for them and we won't stop until we do.”
