Daily Dose of Great Police Work: Officers Arrest Two Suspects in Non-fatal Shooting

At about 1:30 AM on Saturday, December 16, 2017, officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) executed arrest warrants for two suspects involved in a non-fatal shooting incident that occurred on November 25, 2017 in the area of 17 Davern Avenue during which an adult male victim was shot then transported to a Boston hospital with non-life-threatening wounds to his legs.

As a result of an extensive investigation and review of the evidence, and with the assistance of the Citywide Drug Control Unit and the Youth Violence Strike Force, District B-2 detectives were able to identify and articulate probable cause to obtain arrest and search warrants for 26-year-old Dwayne Flornory of Dorchester and 37-year-old female Tanesha Jacobs of Dorchester. Officers executed the warrants in the early morning hours of December 16 in the area of 18 Argyle Street, and as a result, recovered clothing that Flornory and Jacobs were observed wearing during the commission of the crime, as well as firearm ammunition.

Flornory was arrested and charged with Assault to Commit Murder, Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon (Firearm), Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, and Possession of a Firearm with Three Prior Violent/Drug Crimes. Jacobs was charged with Accessory after the Fact. Both will be arraigned at Roxbury District Court.
