At about 2:51 PM on Monday, November 13, 2017, officers assigned to District C-11 (Dorchester) responded along with Boston EMS to a call for an unknown medical incident inside 330 Bowdoin Street. Upon arrival, officers made entry and located a deceased adult male victim. A criminal investigation was launched after the death was later ruled a homicide. The victim has since been identified as Nelson Torres-Santa, 55, of Dorchester.
One week later, on Monday, November 20, 2017, after an extensive investigation, members of the BPD Fugitive Apprehension Unit and Homicide Unit were able to identify a suspect. The officers located 21-year-old Thomas Frank Isaac, Jr. of Braintree and placed him in custody without incident. The suspect will appear in Dorchester District Court where he will be charged with Murder, Armed Home Invasion, and Armed Robbery.
Said Police Commissioner William Evans, "In less than a week, my officers were able to work quickly and efficiently to gather evidence and make an arrest. I'm confident that they've built a strong case that will lead to a conviction of the suspect, so that the public may be assured that another dangerous individual is off the streets."
