At about 9:00 PM on Thursday, November 16, 2017, officers from District E-13 (Jamaica Plain) were conducting a check of the common areas inside 944 Parker Street due to numerous community complaints of youths loitering, smoking, and drinking in the laundry room of that address. As one officer shined his flashlight towards the ceiling of the laundry room, he observed a black revolver secreted above a light fixture. The officer then shined his light to other fixtures and noticed a second, black 9mm firearm atop another light fixture. Both firearms were recovered by detectives. The incident remains under investigation.
