Daily Dose of Great Police Work: BPD Officers Arrest Repeat B&E Offender Twice in Three Days

At about 2:30 PM on Wednesday October 18, 2017, officers assigned to District C-11 (Dorchester) made an onsite arrest after responding to a call for a breaking and entering in progress in the area of 21 South Sydney Street in Savin Hill. Officers spoke with the victim who stated that an unidentified suspect had just broken into his home and fled on foot towards Dorchester Avenue. Officers searched the area and located a person matching the suspect description, later identified as Kevin Perry, 37, of New Bedford, on Auckland Street where he was stopped without incident and later placed in custody without incident after being positively identified. Officers located a small pair of bolt cutters on the suspect which were secured as evidence. During the course of their investigation, the officers learned that the same suspect had been arrested three days prior in the Back Bay for breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The suspect will appear in Dorchester District Court on charges Breaking and Entering of a Dwelling (Daytime) and Possession of Burglarious Tools.
