UPDATE: Second Suspect in Custody in Connection to Death Investigation in the Area of 54 Princeton Street in East Boston


At about 8:51 AM on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, officers assigned to District A-7 (East Boston) responded to a radio call for a person down in the area of 54 Princeton Street. On arrival, officers located a female victim in her late teens or early twenties inside of a garage suffering from undetermined traumatic injuries. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene and has since been identified as 18-year-old Blanca Lainez of East Boston.

At about 7:00 AM on Sunday, July 10, 2016, homicide detectives and members of the Boston Police Fugitive Unit placed Jose Alejandro Hernandez, 16, of East Boston in custody in the area of 63 Marion Street. The suspect was later charged with Murder in East Boston Municipal Court.

At about 9:25 AM on Friday, September 2, 2016, members of the Boston Police Fugitive Unit located a second suspect, Angel Ramos, 21, of East Boston, in the area of 28 Saratoga Street and placed him in custody without incident. The suspect will appear in East Boston District Court on a charge of Murder.
